KNOWN POTENTIAL BUGS

Users who run Acorn XL 1.0 may find that when they upgrade there are stuck in “preparing” mode.:

App Stuck on "Preparing..."

Some users may experience Acorn XL getting stuck on "Preparing..." when opening the app. This happens when the local AI model (Venus) is missing from its expected location.

✓ Quick Fix (Recommended)

  1. Quit Acorn XL — Press ⌘ Command + Q
  2. Download the fix toolFix_Acorn_XL.command
  3. Double-click the downloaded file to run it
  4. Open Acorn XL — The app should now work!
⚠️ macOS Security Notice (click to expand)

If macOS says the file is from an "unidentified developer," right-click the file and select Open, then click Open again in the dialog. This is normal for downloaded scripts.
